What Is Breathwork?

The events are hosted by Alan Brown (chiropractor and energy healer) and his close friend Tony Moran (engineer and masterful breathwork instructor).
The combination of energy work, breathing technique and the ice bath is a powerful way to transform to a positive state of mind.
Each session includes…
- An introduction of the instructors,
- the science of breathing,
- how the system works (where hands are place for energy work),
- what to expect, and
- some practical breathing demonstrations.
Seated phase ~ The group will begin light breath work, while individually receiving energy work (Integrated Energy Therapy) from Alan. He will also determine areas that need targeting in the lying-down phase.
Lying-down phase ~ After light breathing in the seated phase, you will move into a comfortable position and begin engaging in deep breath work. Individualised energy therapy sessions will continue. Prepare for a relaxing ride!
The session will finish with an invigorating ice bath and warm cup of tea 🙂
About Tony
Over a three-decade period Tony has practiced and integrated various body-mind orientated health modalities, starting in the late 1990s with Tai Chi and Qi Gong and expanding to include yoga and Vedic Meditation.
In 2016 Tony discovered the Wim Hof Method attending workshops with Wim Hoff and related experts adding cold exposure to breath related tools for regulating the human nervous system and improving health.
Tony has studied the science and practice underpinning these techniques and explored traditional modalities including Pranayama and the Tibetan practice of Tummo.

This introductory session to Breathwork and cold exposure will primarily be experiential, but will also include some of the science and theory underpinning these techniques and how they deliver positive health outcomes.
Attendees will experience the power of breath to change mental and physical state and come away with a simple and practical breath tool kit. Additionally, attendees will be invited to step out of their comfort zone and into a full body Ice immersion experience.

Session 2: Sunday, 22nd October 8:00am – 10:30am
Cost: $80 per session
Where: Brisbane Northside (address provided on booking)
- Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for quick transition into the water.
- Bathroom/change space available.
- Please bring water bottle.
- Do not eat anything for several hours before the event.
- Bring a towel and/or yoga mat (if you have one) so that you are comfortable lying down.
- Please bring sun protection/hat/sun-safe clothing as the event is outside (some shade provided).
